Pat Lobb Toyota is the first car dealership to achieve LEED certification from the US Green Building Council. The building is oriented to respond to the solar path and maximize the use of daylighting.  It also uses energy efficient materials and assemblies to helped control and moderate energy use.  The building’s exterior is composed of 80 percent recycled aluminum.  Heat, when needed, is generated from oil-change waste and the car wash uses recycled water.  The lighting and faucets are energy efficient and the carpet is made of recycled windshield glass.  There are bicycle racks and preferred parking for carpool vehicles to encourage alternative modes of transportation.  The landscaping is comprised of native, drought-resistant plants, and grasses which utilize rainwater harvested for irrigation.

Toyota of Rockwall attained a higher level of LEED certification becoming the first LEED Gold Dealership. The project features:
